On September 10th, 2016, Students and volunteers gathered at the You Dao Qingpu Center to give flowers and express their gratitude to teachers in celebration of the annual Teachers’ Day.
At 1:30pm the children took part in a floral arrangements class attentively. The children all listened to teacher Renee who talked about the different types of flowers and the process of putting together the arrangements. As teacher Renee started to put the flower arrangements together, the classroom began to fill with beautiful colors and fresh aroma of flowers.
The children worked in pairs to create their floral arrangements. Some children trimmed the leaves, some positioned the flowers, and all of them were busy enjoying themselves. The classroom quickly filled with their beautiful works of art, each flower pot embodying the children’s’ creativity and innovative imagination.
