Vivien Lee has been active in the arts scene in Hong Kong and Mainland China for over 20 years and she was one of the very first fundraisers for the arts. Over the years, she raised more than HK$1billion for the arts, her arts-&-business partnerships flourished into many exciting arts programs, including the long running Exxon Vision Series and Young Friends Scheme of the annual Hong Kong Arts Festival.
 
In 1997, Vivien joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra as its Assistant General Manager (Development) to solicit business partnerships and Vivien was appointed as Head of Institutional Advancement of the HKPO in 2003.
 
Vivien moved to Shanghai with her family in 2004.  She then joined the Shanghai Conservatory of Music’s Arts Administration Departmentas Program Manager, responsible for building a practical training curriculum and developing internship opportunities for the SHCMAAD undergraduates.   Vivien has been lecturing on Fundraising and Development for Arts in the Post-graduate Studies of the SHCM’s Arts Administration Department since 2011. Her own consultancy created China’s first cutting-edge arts festival “Fringe Shanghai” in 2006-2010.  Vivien sat in the Arts and Charities Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China (HKCCC) Shanghai Chapter in 2007-08.   
 
She holds an Executive Diploma of Management Studies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University SPEED.   In 2014, she was invited to join as a member of advisory group for the You Dao Foundation and volunteer in many You Dao projects.
