On 21st October 2012 some Philips volunteers together with You Dao facilitators visited the Shanghai Oriental Green Boat theme park with 100 Cang Chang Elementary School students.
Most of the children had never been to a theme park before and especially one that was so large with lots of open space. They were very excited as they played on the mock air-craft carrier and rode on the rides in the park.
The volunteers, You Dao Staff and the children ate together and then played some games in the outdoors.
The children braved a walk along narrow boards and then saw statues of famous people.
They were so excited at what had happened that some of the children hope that in the future they will be able to be volunteers themselves!
