Lucky dragons bid farewell to the old year, as the lovely snow brings fragrance and blessings. To celebrate the New Year of 2025, the Shanghai Youdao Public Welfare Service Center held a special window paper-cutting day at the Fifth Community Activity Room of Fengpu Street, Fengxian District, for nine local children. Everyone started a fantasy journey of traditional folk customs to cut out signs of the New Year for their windows.
祥龙贺瑞辞旧去，瑞雪飘香福满来。值此 2025 新岁将启之际，上海忧道公益服务中心在奉贤区奉浦街道第五社区活动室，精心筹备了别开生面的剪窗花活动，此次共有9名小朋友参与，大家一同开启传统民俗的奇幻之旅，用指尖裁剪新春的祥瑞。
On the day of the event, the activity center was filled with warmth and joy. The colored paper, scissors and pencils on the table instantly ignited curiosity in the children's eyes. Under the patient guidance of the teachers, the children first carefully observed the exquisite examples of window paper cut-outs. The lifelike patterns told ancient Chinese New Year stories, and gave the children ideas for their own creations.
活动当日，活动中心洋溢着温馨与欢乐。桌上的彩纸、剪刀与铅笔，瞬间点燃了孩子们眼中的好奇之火。在老师们的耐心指引下，孩子们先是仔细观摩了窗花的精美范例，那栩栩如生的花样似在诉说着古老的年节故事，为他们的创作勾勒出最初的灵感轮廓。
Origami, outlining, cutting... Every step was full of the children's concentration and enthusiasm. Wtth the small scissors shuttling between the papers, and the paper scraps flying, various forms of the word "Spring" emerged along with playful zodiac signs and lovely little flowers. Although the technique might have been a little immature, each window paper-cut was a New Year's tribute to their childlike innocence and imagination.
折纸、勾勒、下剪……每一步都饱含着孩子们的专注与热忱。小小的剪刀在纸间穿梭游走，纸屑纷扬间，“春”字的灵动、生肖的俏皮、花卉的娇美渐次呈现。虽手法稍显稚嫩，但每张窗花皆为童心独运的新春礼赞。
When the children pasted their paper-cuts onto the windows, the bright red not only illuminated the activity room, but also spread the festive atmosphere of the New Year to every corner of the community.
当孩子们将亲手剪出的窗花贴上窗户，那一抹抹鲜艳的红，不仅映亮了活动室，更将新年的喜庆氛围晕染至社区的每一寸角落。
For the children, this event was a first exploration of folk culture and the spark of traditional skills; for Youdao Charity, it was a gift of love. With just a piece of red paper, it built dreams for the children in the community and prayers for long-lasting blessings and warmth in the New Year!
此次活动，于孩子们而言，是民俗文化的初探索，更是传统技艺传承的星星火种；于忧道公益而言，是爱心的传递，借一方红纸，为社区孩子筑梦，祈愿新岁福泽绵长，温情满溢家园！
